Texas - Say What You Want: Video

Music video by Texas performing Say What You Want: Video (C) 1987 Mercury Records Limited

I've Been Everywhere (in Texas that is...)

Here's a video of my journey across Texas on my motorcycle set to the tune of Johnny Cash and "I've been everywhere, man". The twist is, Texas singer/songwriter Brian Burns www.brianburnsmusic.com/bbm_default.htm swapped out the towns in the original song for Texas towns, cities and communities. My journey took 10,641 miles to complete and I had a ton of fun along the way. Some towns such as Spring Lake (formally knows as Clabbertown) ceased to exist 100 years or more ago, and others like Mill Creek and Val Verde were nothing but rural communities with no true city limit signs. In these instances, a post office, church or significant landmark was photographed as proof of visiting that location. Bartleville doesn't exist in the Roads of Texas, atlas, or any mapping programs and there have been lyric references to Bartonville which was secured by photograph. The music came from the Eagle and Snake CD. I HIGHLY recommend you purchase it if you like Texas ballads. This guy is awesome. I hope you enjoy the trip. Hang on, because the ride is fast.....

Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood (Long version!)

Long version of Texas Flood by stevie ray vaughn ! Texas Flood is an electric blues album by blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan and his band Double Trouble, released in 1983. Although "Texas Flood" has three verses of lyrics, the song is more of a prolonged guitar solo, allowing Vaughan to show off his characteristic electric blues style. During live shows, he would often play portions of this song behind his back, arousing an enthusiastic crowd response. Stylistically, "Texas Flood" is structured around the common three chord blues progression. Written and performed in the key of G (sounding F# because of Vaughan's tuning), it is in 12/8 time, or compound time[1], which gives it a "slow burning" feel that is common in Texas blues. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_Flood_%28song%29

Texas Playboys on TV 1976

When my cousin Skeeter Elkin, piano player for Bob Wills, gave me this video he told me that when it aired it pre-empted the traditional national TV sunday night programming of The Wonderful World of Walt Disney. Only Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys ever had power to bump the mouse!

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) - Trailer

Usa 1974 Director: Tobe Hooper Synopsis: En route to visit their grandfather's grave (which has apparently been ritualistically desecrated), five teenagers drive past a slaughterhouse, pick up (and quickly drop) a sinister hitch-hiker, eat some delicious home-cured meat at a roadside gas station, before ending up at the old family home... where they're plunged into a never-ending nightmare as they meet a family of cannibals who more than make up in power tools what they lack in social skills...

Attention Texas Voters

These are the members of the school board who will vote in favor of science: Mary Helen Berlanga, Bob Craig, Mavis Knight, Rene Nunez, Bruce Beckman, and maybe Lawrence Allen. [I was initially told that Pat Hardy supported evolution, but was advised later that she believes creationism to be equal to evolution; whereas her Libertarian opponant, Bruce Beckman is adamantly against teaching the creation myth at all.] Also please support Linda Ellis who is running as a Write In Candidate against Barbara Cargill (Woodlands). The science community (all teachers and educators) should get behind her and help her with her campaign. If we can start replacing the right wingers then your letters and research will not fall on deaf ears. Linda Ellis: The WRITE -IN CANDIDATE FOR THE RIGHT Reason. VoteLindaEllis.com You have our permission to share this letter with as many in your field as possible. Let's get the word out on these "goons" that have taken over the SBOE. Also, if you know anyone in the Beaumont district of David Bradley tell them to support Laura Ewing. It is imperative that we take hacks like David Bradley out of the decision making at the state level of education. Read the Texas Monthly article written this month about the State Board. It's very telling and it's about time.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) Full Trailer

The Trailer for The Texas Chainsaw Movie (2003 version), starring Jessica Biel, R Lee Ermey, Jonathan Tucker, Erica Leerhsen, Mike Vogel and Eric Balfour. I already saw some versions of this trailer here on YouTube, but they were shorter and showed less footage of the movie, so I posted this one. (This trailer comes from the Apple Trailers website, and is not made by me) The songs played at the beginning is called 'Song to the Siren' originally by Jeff/Tim (thanks PinkCloud37) Buckley, but most famously covered by a 1980's goth band named "This Mortal Coil", but the version in this trailer was recorded by a girl from a band called "Moneypenny"/Synchronic Music in the WB studio and isn't available for download anywhere, nor has it been released on CD. The song at the end of the trailer (01:46) is called "Signal to Noise" by Peter Gabriel, from the Gangs of New York OST, but it's a remade version for this movie... The story was based on a man called "Ed Gein" but he didn't use a chainsaw. The cannibalistic familiy depicted here never existed!!! Some proof here: http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=MCuTm31z7ck&fmt=18 . Hopefully this will stop the fighting on my video page... Enjoy! :-) DLL108.
