Those sounds would have existed by quite differently. Let's not ignore Kraftwerk, Chic, Neu!, Velvets, Stooges, New York Dolls, Defunkft, P-Funk and Can. Roxy Music (along with Bowie) by being a mainstream British band asborbed the best of all those groups and created a commerical hybird and style that other bands would emulate to this day.

Art Rock, Punk, Post-Punk, New Wave, New Romantic, Synth-Pop, and even Alternative Rock probably wouldn't exist without the help of Roxy Music.

The New York of way back when Times Square was dirty and full of peep shows and cheap store fronts and late nights were full of possibilities and adventure.

I am a 70's baby. By the time I got to school, I knew my ABC's and jams like this. Its apart of me and my early education.

LISTEN to that glorious bouncing bass that 'Nard plays! I'm sitting on an exercise ball I (the rubber kind), and I am bouncin' like a boucin' FOOL! 'Nard was a god of the bass!

It's a B.C. Rich "eagle" bass. He used it as a show piece for most of the chic "promo" videos. He used a Fender Precision bass and a Musicman Stingray.
